Potable Water in Armenia
Armenia is rich with its potable water resources.
It is conditioned by the volcanic origin of the earth's crust of the area.
There are a number of natural springs often with capacity of 2000 litre per second (l/s).
In most cases, the population drinks spring water of high quality. The company has over 400 catchment facilities in the service regions of the Republic.
Water Resources
The Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia gave the company’s service sphere corresponding water use permit for all the surface and underground springs.
Water Treatment
Though Armenia is rich in potable water resources, they are not equally distributed either in terms of territory and time. In some settlements (Kapan, Dilijan, Artik, Meghri, Agarak, Berd and other) there are no sweet water springs. The potable water supply of the mentioned settlement is put into operation due to treatment the surface water.

Except the mentioned pumping stations there are many intra-community pumping stations and pumps in a number of settlements.
